How To: 60 Minute Makeover Guide

Summer is the perfect time to have guests round and socialise. However no one wants a messy and dirty household to bring people into. Following the steps below will ensure your home is looking pristine.

You Will Need:

Bottle

Trigger Spray Attachment

Jar

Cloth

Surgical Spirit

Isopropanol Alcohol 70%

Sodium Bicarbonate

Acetic Acid 6%

Window and Glass Cleaner

Talcum Powder

Citrus Air Freshener

Sodium Hypochlorite 14%

Cleaning the Living Room (15 Minutes)

Step 1

Tidy away any wrappers, left overs, cups and anything that is making the room messy. TOP TIP: Store books and dvd’s on a bookshelf/under a coffee table.

Step 2

To clean the sides use Surgical Spirit (Denatured Ethanol Blend) and apply this on all surfaces with a cloth. Spray this product evenly on the area using a Bottle and Trigger Spray Attachment. TOP TIP: For gleaming surfaces apply this on areas that are most dusty including Cabinets and Bookshelves.

Step 3

To clean the floor or carpet follow these steps. For floor types such as – sealed wood, tile, laminate and linoleum. This floor cleaner works well. Simply mix equal parts of Sodium Bicarbonate and hot water, and mop. There’s no need to rinse, and the Sodium Bicarbonate smell dissipates once the floors have dried. The Sodium Bicarbonate acts as a mild disinfectant and leaves a nice shine. CAUTION: Take a lot of Caution with the Hot Water and make sure the correct clothes and shoes are being worn. For Carpet Cleaning and Adding a Fresh Smell, Simply Sprinkle Talcum Powder all over the Carpet and allow 15 minutes to let the smell infuse. Hoover the Carpet to get rid of any left over Talcum Powder.

Step 4

To clean Windows and Glass use Window & Glass Cleaner and spray with a Bottle and Trigger Attachment all over the area. Wipe straight away with a cloth for streak free windows.

Step 5

Now the Living Room is tidy add a sense of Freshness with Citrus Air Freshener. Apply this with a Bottle and Trigger Attachment and spray evenly all over the room.

 

Cleaning the Kitchen (15 Minutes)

Step 1

Put any pots and utensils away in drawers and make sure surfaces are clear.

Step 2

For the sides apply Surgical Spirit using a Bottle and Trigger Attachment and spray evenly on the surface. Use a cloth to clean and dry.

Step 3

For the Sink and Tap use Isopropanol Alcohol 70% and apply this with a Bottle and Trigger Attachment and dry this with a cloth.

Step 4

For the windows apply with a Bottle and Trigger Attachment using Window and Glass Cleaner and wipe straight away for a streak free finish.

Step 5

For unclogging drains use Acetic Acid 6% and Sodium Bicarbonate. Pour a liberal amount of Sodium Bicarbonate. Then pour Acetic Acid into the drain. The reaction between the chemicals will produce bubbles. Finish by pouring Hot Water. If the drain is more intense repeat again. For further details for this – Click Here.

Step 6

For Stove, Vent Fans – Mix Water and Sodium Bicarbonate and clean using a cloth.

Step 7

Finish by spraying Citrus Air Freshener using a Bottle and Trigger Spray Attachment.

 

Cleaning the Bathroom (15 Minutes)

Step 1

Tidy the bathroom by putting Toothbrushes and Toothpaste in Jars to keep them up and out of the way and put any makeup or face products away in a cabinet or a bag.

Step 2

To clean sides use Surgical Spirit and apply using a Bottle and Trigger Spray Attachment to spray evenly. Wipe with a cloth.

Step 3

For windows use Glass & Window Cleaner and apply this using a Bottle with Trigger Spray Attachment. Spray this on area and wipe with a cloth.

Step 4

To disinfect and clean the Bath, Toilet and Sink use Sodium Hypochlorite 14% dilute down with 1 part Sodium Hypochlorite 14% and 3 parts water, apply this like a normal bleach. CAUTION: Wear protective clothing and keep away from skin. COMPLETE A PATCH TEST BEFORE USE.

Step 5

To fully disinfect and sanitize the toilet put a cup of Sodium Bicarbonate and soak for an hour. Pour a cup of Acetic Acid and leave for 5 minutes. Flush the toilet. If the toilet is very dirty however scrub with the Toilet Brush.

Step 6

For unclogging drains use Acetic Acid 6% and Sodium Bicarbonate. Pour a liberal amount of Sodium Bicarbonate. Then pour Acetic Acid into the drain. Step 7

Finish by spraying Citrus Air Freshener using a Bottle and Trigger Spray Attachment.

Cleaning the Bedroom (15 Minutes)

Step 1

Make the bed, Tidy away any cups and plates and put anything that takes a lot of space up such as Books, Magazines and Clothes away.

Step 2

To clean sides use Surgical Spirit and spray with a Bottle and Trigger Spray Attachment. Use a cloth to wipe sides down.

Step 3

To clean windows use Glass & Window Cleaner and apply this using a Bottle with Trigger Spray Attachment. Spray this on area and wipe with a cloth.

Step 4
